“One Belt One Road & Greater Mekong Subregion Cooperation Lancang Jiang-Mekong River: Rising Smart  Corridor”

BACKGROUND AND COVERAGE
In a global political climate prevailed by growing protectionism and insularity, China's "OBOR" (One Belt One Road) initiative plays a mitigating role to ensure continuing international cooperation and regional development. Adopting the approach of "mutual benefit" and "commonly destined communities," China seeks to stimulate the developing economies of riparian countries, in particular, the Greater Mekong sub-regional countries. Hence, this conference seeks to generate academic and practical insights that proffer recommendations to this endearing project. In particular, this conference seeks to attract conceptual and research-based papers organized according to the following sub-themes:
     1.      Logistics and Transportation
     2.      Economics and Investments
     3.      Information Technology and Smart City
     4.      Culture and Heritage
     5.      Tourism

SCHEDULE
     1.      Submission of abstracts for the symposium:               19 June 2017
     2.      Notification of paper acceptance:                                 30 June 2017
     3.      Submission of full paper:                                            4 August 2017
     4.      Conference date:                                                 1 September 2017

CONTRIBUTIONS FORMAT AND PROCEDURES Abstracts should include title and author's information (name, title, affiliation and email address). Its length should be between 250 and 300 words with about 5 keywords. The abstract should summarize the salient points covering theoretical perspectives, research methods, results and findings in a succinct manner.  Articles should be between 5,000 and 7,000 words.  All submissions are accepted through email: gmsscmu@cmu.ac.th.

REMARKS
     • No registration charges
     • Lunches and coffee breaks are provided at the conference
     • All paper presenters are responsible for their own travels and accommodations
